What started as an afternoon of digging sand tunnels with her son on the beaches of Sentosa, Singapore 3 years ago is now a passionate hobby of sculpting with sand and clay.

Denise believes that everyone shares the collective memory of our ancestors who dug clay from Mother earth to generate art, architecture and forms as an expansion of gesture, imagination and creativity.

Without formal training, Denise works with sand and clay to create art forms entirely based on intuition, feel of the chosen medium and memory. “Hands On Art” refers to this creative journey. She believes that each one of us shares this innate ability to do the same simply by learning how to tap into our collective consciousness, surrendering to the creative process and detaching from the outcome.

This belief is based on her study and spiritual practice of accessing the quantum realm of unlimited possibilities. Her early exploration into sand sculpting inspired the formation of her coaching/mentoring social enterprise Sandboxcoaches. As a Certified Professional Coach and Yoga Instructor, Denise now helps others shed light on their innate talents and resourcefulness to realize their potential through knowledge and experience sharing. She has also worked with people from all over the world to achieve their health and wellness goals through detox programs, yoga and meditation as well as modifications to lifestyle and diet.

Denise continues on her own transformation journey with greater awareness, gratitude and patience. Her Path of Purpose involves the practice of integrating mind, body and spirit through Yoga and meditation; Ayurvedic health practices; study of philosophy and healing therapies, where her “Hands On Art” is an important aspect of remembering our capacity for healing touch.

By cultivating our natural talents and resourcefulness, Denise believes we are empowered to be social change agents. Through the creation of Shared Experiences Dividend (SEeD), members support and advocate the open exchange of shared knowledge and experience to help others in our community realize their potential.
